Surgical correction of pes equinovarus deformity
This study investigates the effect of surgical correction of pes equinovarus deformity on personalized goal attainment and gait in HMSN patients.
Foot deformities are common in HMSN patients. Surgical interventions are recommended to restore the normal foot position. However, despite excellent clinical experiences, the level of scientific evidence for these interventions is still limited. Therefore, 22 HMSN patients that will undergo surgical correction of pes equinovarus are included in this study. Before and after surgery, personal goal attainment will be assessed. In addition, gait capacity and performance will be evaluated. This projects has started in 2022 an will end in 2025.
