Els is involved in a number of projects to better align non-surgical care among disciplines across settings. She is the convenor of the EULAR online course for Health Professionals and associate editor of the journal Rheumatology Advanced Practice. Her research focuses on the optimization of non-pharmacological management of rheumatic diseases (in particular osteoarthritis and systemic sclerosis).
