Research
The Research department closely collaborates with the doctors to develop new treatments and test existing treatments. Each year, we ask thousands of patients to participate in scientific research. Our research provides us with new insights, which we share by publishing many scientific articles and having many doctoral thesis projects carried out by our doctors and researchers.
Furthermore, we collaborate not only with universities and university hospitals but also with national and international manufacturers of, for instance, medicines and prostheses on various research projects. These collaborations have resulted in, among other things, the development of new orthopedic surgical techniques and prostheses, improved drug treatments for patients with rheumatic diseases, more effective pain treatments and modern rehabilitation programs using the robotic exoskeleton and a walking platform in a virtual reality environment.
