Research & Rheumatology
Rheumatic diseases often have a negative impact on physical, psychological and social functioning. Medicines are given with positive effects on the disease. The patients also receive good support in dealing with pain and impairments. Rheumatic disease research is aimed at improving drug and non-drug treatment of rheumatic diseases. Together with Radboud university medical center, the Sint Maartenskliniek closely involves patients in rheumatic disease research. This approach has resulted in setting up the STAP project.
