Research & Orthopaedics
Orthopedics focuses on the surgical and non-surgical treatment of patients with problems of the locomotor apparatus (joints, bones, muscles and tendons). The aim of a treatment is to reduce pain and improve function, for instance of the hand, foot, shoulder, knee, hip or back. The orthopedic specialists work closely together with the Research department to examine the effectiveness and safety of existing and new treatments in terms of function restoration, pain reduction, absence of complications and the patient’s experience, among other things.
