Upper limb home rehabilitation
Neurorehabilitation Ecosystem for Sustained Therapy (NEST) is an application to improve upper limb function at home for people who had a stroke. We will invest the feasibility and effectiveness of NEST the coming years.
People who had a stroke often have a decreased upper limb function. NEST is an smartphone application to train the upper limb function at home. This application consists of games, exercises and a virtual coach. The advantage of NEST is that people do not have to overcome practical barriers and time restrictions associated with coming to the clinic. We will investigate how NEST needs to look, so that patients can and want to use it. After that we will investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of NEST. This project is in cooperation with clinics from Spain and Italy
