Feasibility of a Digital Home-Based Supervised Physical Exercise Training Program Before and After Surgical Hip Replacement

The aim of this study is to investigate the feasibility of a digital home-based supervised physical exercise training program, before and after surgical hip replacement, for both patients and physiotherapist. In addition, we will explore the efficacy of the exercises.

In this study we will provide digital home-based physical exercise training to 30 patients getting hip replacement surgery due to osteoarthritis. This physical exercise training will be 6-8 weeks before surgery and 8 weeks after surgery.

At the start of the study, shortly before the hip replacement surgery, 8 weeks after surgery and 26 weeks after surgery, we will collect questionnaires. In addition, at the start and 8 weeks after surgery, we will perform some walking tests.
